WORCESTER, Mass. -- Williams sent four 8s and a novice 4 to Lake Quinsigamond to close out their fall season at the Wormtown Chase. The course took crews through a complete 180 degrees turn around a series of islands before racing the length of the lake. Crews battled a moderate headwind for the majority of the race course.

The Ephs experienced oarsmen all competed in the collegiate 8+ event. The 1V took gold with a commanding performance, stopping the clock in a time of 17:10. This time put Williams 15 seconds over second place Wesleyan.

Williams' 2V also turned in their best performance of the season with a time of 17:29, good for fourth overall and first among 2V crews. This time put them only 4 seconds off second place overall behind their 1V.

The Williams 3V and 4V, demonstrating the team's strong depth this fall, rounded out the race with equally strong showings. The 3V finished 9th overall and first among 3V crews with a time of 18:26. The 4V, the only 4V entered in the event, finished in 14th overall with a time of 19:31.
