Williams Football Blanks Colby

WATERVILLE, Maine -- Dan Vaughn ran for 111 yards, and the Williams College defense posted its first shutout of the season, beating Colby, 17-0, on Saturday.
 
Joel Nicholas rna for 92 yards and a touchdown, and Bobby Maimaron completed eight of 15 passes for 125 yards and a TD.
 
The Ephs (3-1) take a three-game winning streak into Saturday's home game against Hamilton.
 
Field Hockey
WATERVILLE, Maine -- Shea van den Broek scored a pair of goals to lead Williams to a 4-1 win over Colby.
 
Catherine Torres and Allie Weiner each scored, and Abby Lloyd made three saves for the Ephs (9-1, 6-1 NESCAC), who have a non-league game against Skidmore on Tuesday.
 
Women's Cross Country
KEENE, N.H. -- Williams placed four runners in the top 10 to win the Keene Invitational.
 
Brianna Bourne led the way, covering the 5-kilometer course in 18 minutes, 18 seconds, to place third.
 
Women's Soccer
WATERVILLE, Maine -- Rain Condie scored in the first half, and Keyla Kamshad made three saves to give Williams a 1-0 win over Colby.
 
The Ephs (7-2-1, 6-2) host Farmingdale State next Saturday.
 
Men's Soccer
WATERVILLE, Maine -- Colby scored in the 86th minute to erase a one-goal deficit and earn a 1-1 tie against Williams.
 
Jamie Holland scored, and Michael Davis made five saves for the Ephs (3-3-3, 2-2-2), who are home against Skidmore on Tuesday.
 
Volleyball
MEDFORD, Mass. -- Tufts earned a 25-14, 25-13, 25-23 win over Williams on Saturday.
 
Erin Denham and Christina Conforti each had five kills for the Ephs (9-5, 2-2), who host Colby on Friday.
