HOUSTON -- Williams College’s Cordelia Chan finished at 8-over-par for four rounds to win an individual NCAA Division III Championship on Friday at Bay Oaks Country Club.
Chan played an even-par round of 72 on Friday to lead the Ephs to their second straight runner-up finish at the national championships.
As an individual, she edged New York University’s Arshia Mahant, who finished at 9-over.
Mahant and NYU, however, caught the Ephs on the final day of the tournament to win by five strokes after Williams took an eight-stroke lead into the deciding round.
Chan’s teammate Joanna Kim tied for 15th place at 21-over. Also competing for the Ephs were Olivia White, Stella Woo and Holly Davenport.
