WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Cory Lund scored seven goals to lead the Williams College men's lacrosse team to a 14-12 win over Middlebury on Wednesday.
Jake Haase scored twice and assisted on five goals, and Harry Gahagan stopped 12 shots.
Williams finishes the regular season 13-2 and 8-2 in the NESCAC going into this weekend's league playoffs.
Women's Lacrosse
MIDDLEBURY, Vt. -- Middlebury outscored Williams, 8-2, in the second half to earn an 18-9 win.
Emma TenBarge and Sophia Millay each had a hat trick, and Kami Cisneros made six saves for the Ephs, who finish the season 7-8 (3-7 NESCAC).
Softball
WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Gabi Medvene-Cirigliano hit a grand slam, and Kirstin Mapes threw a one-hitter to lead Williams to an 8-0 win and a double-header sweep of Smith.
Mackenzie Murphy went 2-for-3 with a double three RBIs in the nightcap.
In Game 1, Rebecca Duncan doubled twice, and Jessica Kim went 3-for-4 with a pair of RBIs in a 6-1 win.Emma Corbett got the "W" in the circle, allowing three hits.
Williams (28-4) goes to Wesleyan on Friday.
Baseball
WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Eric Pappas went 3-for-5 with a triple and two RBIs to lead Williams to a 7-4 win over Union.
Kellen Hatheway went 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles, and Brian Woolley earned the win on the mound with one inning of one-hit relief.
Williams (18-7) goes to Hamilton on Friday.
