MIDDLEBURY, Vt. -- Bri Laycock scored a power play goal midway through the third period to give the Williams College women's hockey team a 2-1 win over Middlebury on Friday night.
Williams (16-4-3, 9-2-4 NESCAC) took a 1-0 lead in the second period with a goal by Meghan Halloran, but the Panthers (14-5-3, 9-4-2) came back to tie it with a goal in the 20th minute.
Chloe Heiting stopped 27 shots for Williams, which hosts Middlebury on Saturday evening.
Men's Hockey
AMHERST, Mass. -- Amherst's Phil Johansson scored in the third minute of overtime to give the Mammoths a 4-3 win over Williams.
Nick VanBelle and Jack McCool scored second-period goals to bring the Ephs back from a 3-1 Amherst (12-6-4, 9-4-4 lead).
Michael Pinios stopped 26 shots for Williams (14-7-2, 10-5-2), which finishes the regular season at Hamilton on Saturday afternoon.
