PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Carson Meczywor scored 21 points Sunday to lead the Adams seventh- and eighth-grade boys travel basketball team past Greylock, 57-44, in the semi-finals of the CYC Tournament.

Logan Davis scored 11, and Kobe Valois added eight in the win.

"This was a back-and-forth game until the fourth quarter when Adams extended a four-point lead to 12 and we just could not close the gap as we had two of our big guys foul out early in the fourth," Greylock coach Rick Paris said.

Derek Paris scored a game-high 25, and Chase Doyle added eight for Greylock, which went 2-1 in pool play.

Housatonic 41, Greylock 30
Connor Hanavan hit a pair of 3-pointers on his way to a 12-point game to lead Housatonic, which got 10 points from James Carr.

Greylock got 12 from Derek Paris and eight from Doyle but had trouble with Housatonic's trapping defense.

Greylock: 46, Lee: 39
Greylock bounced back behind a 24-point effort from Derek Paris, who went eight-for-11 at the foul line.

"We were getting beat early down the floor and gave up a few easy layups," Rick Paris said. "Our point gaurd, Derek, then took over and scored 18 points in first half, going seven-of-nine from the line and having three or four assists. He just locks in defensively getting rebounds and steals and getting us out in transition."

Evan Trombley scored 15 for Lee, which got 10 from Alejandro Smith.

Greylock 47, Boys & Girls Club Blue 41
Dylen Harrison hit five 3-pointers in the third quarter and finished with 15 points to help give Greylock some breathing room.

"It was a close game throughout but in the third Dylen started to heat up and hit five 3s in a row for all our points in the quarter," Rick Paris said. "I always tell the guys if one of our guys is hot keep feeding him and that's just what they did."

Derek Parish had three triples and 16 points, and Max McAlister scored eight with a couple of 3s.

For Boys & Girls Club Blue, Cam Sime hit three from outside the arc and finished with nine points, and DeAndre Goines and Owen Salvatore each scored six.
