Derek Paris scored 24 points and pulled down 10 rebounds to lead the Greylock seventh- and eighth-grade travel basketball team to a 39-27 win over the Boys & Girls Club Blue.

Dylen Harrison and Jack Cangelosi each scored five points for Greylock, which overcame a narrow 16-15 deficit at half-time.

"We had a little trouble defending Kevin Wilson in the first half, where he scored nine of his team-high 12 points," Greylock coach Rick Paris said. "So in the second half we adjusted and switched up guys defensively and were able to hold him to only three points. He's a tough match-up for most players."

Derek Paris scored 12 of his 24 in a 16-point third quarter.

Greylock plays the Boys & Girls Club Black on Saturday morning at Williamstown Elementary School.
