Blackmer Sets Campaign Kickoff for 1st Berkshire Election

ADAMS, Mass. — Lisa Blackmer kicks off her official campaign for Democratic nominee for state representative on Thursday evening at the Bounti-Fare Restaurant on Route 8. 
 
The North Adams city councilor will lay out the basics of her platform and encourage residents to participate in the special election and primary to fill the 1st Berkshire District seat.
 
The campaign event runs from 5 to 7 p.m.; all are welcome to attend and speak to the candidate.
 
Blackmer will speak to the importance of continuing the work of her friend and colleague, the late Gailanne Cariddi, and her commitment to the people of Northern Berkshire County. Additionally, she will address some of the unique needs of the region and how her experience with municipal policy and her vision for the future will make the 1st Berkshire District a place that all residents have the opportunity to succeed and thrive.
 
The primary election is on Tuesday, Oct. 10, and the general election on Tuesday, Nov. 7.
