Cages Baseball Club Splits with Averill Park

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Eric Leitch went 2-for-3 with a triple and an RBI to lead the Cages Baseball Club Under-22 team to a 7-4 win over Averill Park in the first half of a double-header on Saturday.
 
Averill Park came back to win Game 2, 6-5.
 
In the opener, Dominic DeFelice had a pair of hits, drove in three runs and stole a couple of bases for Cages.
 
Josh Jezouit got the win with 6-⅔ innings of work, striking out eight and allowing just two earned runs. Alex Carusotto retired the last out to finish the game.
 
In the nightcap, Averill Park rallied for a pair of runs in the bottom of the sixth to come from behind for the victory.
 
Matt Braman went 2-for-4 with a double, and Dan Flynn went 2-for-3 for Cages, which got six innings of work on the mound from Eli Holland.
 
Cages (3-6) travels to Braintree for a double-header on Sunday.
