Williamstown Police Wins Cal Ripken Playoff Game

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Williamstown Police beat Countryside, 9-2, Tuesday to advance to the North County Cal Ripken Baseball Championship game.
 
Xander Axt struck out six over 5-2/3 innings and Oscar Low came on to close out the victory.  
 
Jack Gitterman had three RBIs, and Low had two hits to lead the offensive effort for Police.
 
Tej Patel had three hits, and Seth Farnsworth threw two great innings of relief allowing no earned runs to lead the effort for Countryside.
 
The North County championship game is Friday at 5:30 at Bud Anderson Field.
