Williams Baseball Falls at Amherst

AMHERST, Mass. -- The Williams College baseball team dropped its first game of the three-series versus Amherst, falling, 11-4.

The Ephs (5-11/1-3 NESCAC) will face Amherst (13-3/3-1 NESCAC) again Saturday in a doubleheader for the final games of the series at 1 p.m.

Amherst started off strong, including Yanni Thanopoulos' home run in the third inning sending the Ephs into a 5-0 hole by the third inning. Thanopoulos led the Amherst offense with 3 hits and 4 RBIs on the day.

Luke Rodino took the loss in today's contest, dropping to 2-1, giving up eight hits and seven earned runs over seven innings pitched while striking out two.
