DALTON, Mass. -- The Greylock 5th and 6th boys basketball team got off to a strong start the Jim Horth Memorial Tournament on Thursday at Nessacus Middle School.

 

Greylock defeated the host, CYC, in a hard-fought 36-33 contest.

 

Greylock played from behind the entire night unil taking one-point lead with just less than two minutes left.

 

Derek Paris (10 points) hit a pair of free throws with 45 seconds on the clock to give Greylock a three-point cushion, and CYC missed a 3-point try at the buzzer.

 

Cangelosi matched Paris with a team-high 10 points.

 

The six-team tournament continues through Sunday.
