WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — March 15 is the deadline to submit a letter of intent for 2015 applications for the Fund for Williamstown.
The fund invites letters that describe innovative projects and services that benefit residents of Williamstown and help create a vibrant community responsive to diverse needs and voices.
Individuals, nonprofit organizations, community organizations and public agencies may send a one-page letter briefly outlining the project to grants@berkshiretaconic.org, and will be notified by March 20 as to whether or not the advisory committee has selected their project to submit a full application. If selected, full grant applications will be due by April 1.
For more information contact Maeve O'Dea, BTCF program director, at 413-229-0370 or Jason Dohaney, advisory committee chair, at 413-664-4025 or visit www.berkshiretaconic.org/SearchGrants. An advisory committee of local residents will review applications and award grants based on the merit and innovation of the proposed project or service, its impact on the organization or community and the ability of the applicant to carry out the project.
Last year the fund awarded a total of $15,400 to 11 nonprofit organizations and two individuals. Past grants have supported Elder Services' Meals on Wheels program, Images Cinema, the Williamstown Farmers Market and the Williamstown Youth Center.
