Finals Set in Williamstown-Lanesborough Youth Basketball

The championship matchups have been set for the fifth- and sixth-grade Lanesborough/Williamstown Youth Basketball League.
 
On Wednesday in the boys division, Derek Paris scored 14 points to lead Gable Electric to a 24-19 win over Williamstown Family Chiropractic.
 
Jack Cangelosi and Colin Doyle each scored four for Gable. Nick Thayer scored nine, and Alex Axt had four to lead Williamstown Family.
 
Gable will take on Duda in the title game.
 
On Wednesday, Malcolm Waynick scored 12 points to lead Duda to a 30-18 win over Volp Logic in the semis. Matt Sorrell and Stanley Dykes each scored four in the win.
 
Volp’s Oliver Kocsis and Oscar Low each scored six points.
 
The girls championship game will feature DR and Lanesborough BP.
 
DR defeated iBerkshires, 18-12, in one semi-final. Jayden Johnson scored six points to lead her team to victory. Fiona Trimarchi scored a game-high eight to lead iBerkshires.
 
Emma Stevens and Fiona Williams led the way for Lanesborough BP in a 22-11 win over Donut Man. Donut Man was led by Takiera Darrow and Sophie Shaeffer.
 
The championship games for boys and girls will be played on Wednesday, Feb. 11, in a 6 p.m. double-header at Williamstown Elementary School.
