ADAMS, Mass. — Adams Community Bank employees have donated over $22,000 to local charities, neighbors and friends in need since the inception of their Casual Day for Charity program.
Adams Community Bank employees pay to dress down one Friday per month. The program began in December of 2009 by employee Bonnie Callanan who wanted to make a difference locally. The committee that oversees the program reviews customer and employee requests each month and chooses the charity-of-the-month that they feel the donation will have the biggest impact on.
In past months, they proudly donated to the following charities as well as many other individual friends and neighbors in need: Berkshire County Kids Place, Berkshire Dream Center, Boxes of Love, Create a Dream, Equine Angels Rescue, the Fall Run to benefit Shriner’s Hospital, Moments House, PopCares and Soldier On.
Adams Community Bank is an independent, community savings bank located in the Berkshires of western Massachusetts and headquartered in Adams. Adams Community Bank has branch locations located in Adams, Cheshire, Lanesborough, Lee, North Adams and Williamstown.
