The Lanesuborough and Williamstown Youth Basketball Associations opened their 2014-15 season earlier this month with boys and girls action in the fifth- and sixth-grade leagues.
Boys
Malcolm Waynick scored 13 points, and Nick Duda added eight to lead Duda Construction to a 28-20 win over Gable Electric.
Matt Sorrell and Ben Prescott added to Duda’s scoring total. Derek Paris and Jack Congelosi scored nine and five, respectively, to lead Gable.
In Week 2, Waynick scored 21, and Duda had 10 to lead Duda Construction to a 40-12 win over Volp Logic. Stanley Dykes added to the cause with two points in the win.
Teague Patel and Oliver Kocsis scored eight and four, respectively, for Volp.
Girls
Emma Stevens scored 17 points, and Fiona Williams had eight to lead Lanesborough BP to a 25-15 win over Donut Man.
Talia Cappadona scored 13, and Mary Kipp added two for Donut Man.
