WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — Dozens upon dozens of dogs and animal lovers will hit the streets of Williamstown on Saturday, May 3, for the 12th annual Humane Race.
This annual fundraiser for the Berkshire Humane Society is a 5K Fun Run or 1 Mile Walk with or without a dog through Williamstown and Williams College.
Race check-in and registration begin at 8 a.m. in front of The Cottage and Water Street Books on Water Street. Advance registration is $15 for adults and $10 for children 12 and under and can be done online; day of race registration is $20 for adults and $15 for children 12 and under. Those who raise $500 in pledges will be eligible to win a Pet Portrait (custom oil painting) by local artist Dun Riddell.
Dogs are free and will receive a commemorative bandana while supplies last
The race starts at 10 a.m. and finish line festivities end at noon.
