Suns General Manager Kevin McGuire said he was ecstatic that the Suns were able to secure a marquee guest for the inaugural event.

"We've been working on putting together a memorable hot stove event for well over a year, and were waiting for a marquee name in baseball to become available," McGuire said. "Brian Cashman is synonymous with success in this industry, and we're excited that the rabid baseball fans in the Berkshires will be able to enjoy an evening talking baseball with such an accomplished executive.

"Whichever side of the Yankees/ Red Sox rivalry you sit on, this is a rare opportunity to be able to see and listen to one of the best in the business."

The format for the event will be similar to the YES Networks CenterStage. Fans will have an opportunity to submit questions for Cashman prior to the event through www.pittsfieldsuns.com or twitter@pittsfieldsuns.

The VIP package will include a floor level ticket to the event, photo opportunity with Cashman that includes a printed photograph available for pickup later in the evening, a one hour cocktail hour with hors d'oeuvres provided by Mazzeo's Ristorante and a $20 ticket voucher good toward the Pittsfield Suns 2014 season.
