Northern Berkshire YMCA Kicks Off Fundraising Campaign12:04PM / Thursday, January 23, 2014 | |
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — The Northern Berkshire YMCA announced the kick off of its annual fundraising campaign Reach Out for Youth.
Every year the Y raises funds where 100 percent of donations go directly back to the community to help anyone attend its programs.
Justin Inhe, chief executive officer of the Northern Berkshire YMCA, said the funds will help because the Y doesn't turn anyone away for his or her inability to pay.
Inhe also said the services are important to youth to encourage them to gain self-esteem, learn the importance of healthy choices or just hitting their goal of getting healthier.
This year the Y aims to raise $60,000.
"The Y has exceeded its goal for the past two years, enabling us to serve our community. We look forward to doing that again for 2014," said David Brown, president of the Board of Directors.
Donations can be made online by clicking the donate button on its website, www.ymcanb.org, in person at the Y or by mail at: Northern Berkshire YMCA, 22 Brickyard Court, North Adams, MA 01247.
