PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Berkshire Humane Society is celebrating Adopt a Shelter Dog Month by extending the Choose Your Adoption Fee program.

This program gives adopters the option to choose their adoption fee on dogs or cats that have been at BHS for 30 days or more.

In addition, the Senior to Senior program places dogs older than 7 years old with seniors (60 years or older) for a reduced adoption fee of $50 or $75.

Before going to their new homes, all dogs receive appropriate vaccinations, microchips, are dewormed and spayed or neutered.

Furthermore, dog adopters in October will receive a free engraved name tag and be entered into a raffle for a basket of dog goodies.

For more information, visit www.berkshirehumane.org/adoption/dogs or stop by the shelter, located on 214 Barker Road.
