CHESHIRE, Mass. — More than 600 people participated in the the annual Walk to End Alzheimer's on Saturday afternoon.
The walk took place at Farnam's Causeway on the Ashuwillticook Rail Trail, attracting over 50 teams.
Prior to the walk, there was a rememberance ceremony, led by Honorary Chair Cheryl Tripp-Cleveland of WBRK. Also in attendance was Larry Kratka, serving as the other honorary chair.
There were also children activities, including appearances by Bowey the Clown, pumpkin painting and face painting.
So far Berkshire County's Alzheimer's Association has raised over $60,000 and is aiming to raise over $100,000. Donations still can be made at the event's website.
