ADAMS, Mass. — The Susan B. Anthony Birthplace Museum is seeking items for its live and silent auction, as well as volunteers, on Oct. 13. The event will include auctioneer Paul Hutchinson and live music by brother-sister duo June and the Bee.

Adams' residents Rissa Sawyer, Martha Green and other members from the Susan B. Birthplace Museum board are contacting individuals and area businesses for donations. All donors will be listed in the auction program booklet and all proceeds will benefit the museum's educational and community programs.

Hutchinson, who served as the Adams town clerk for 18 years, is a history lover.

"Restoring the Susan B. Anthony birthplace has been a dream of Adams for a long time," Hutchinson said. "The birthplace is a nice plus for Adams. It is important not only to Adams but to the entire world. Women around the world are still struggling for equal rights. Susan B. is 'alive' for them today."

The museum is located at 67 East Road.

For more information or to donate items or volunteer, contact Museum Executive Director Colleen Janz at 413-743-7121 or colleen@susanbanthonybirthplace.org.
