Interview With Presidential Historian Airing on Willinet

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — An interview with noted historian and presidential biographer James MacGregor Burns will air on Willinet on Presidents Day, Monday, Feb. 18, and on Friday, Feb. 22, which is Washington's birthday.

Burns, Woodrow Wilson Professor of Government Emeritus at Williams College, talks about his life and times in the filmed interview with his colleague, Edward Burger, a professor of mathematics at the college.

Burns is a Pulitzer Prize-winning presidential historian, founder of Leadership Studies, and a political activist who ran for Congress in 1958. He has written 20 books, including several on the Roosevelts, on American politics and democracy, leadership, the Bill of Rights and George Washington.

"A Burning Fire," directed and produced by Deborah Lee Schneer, will be broadcast on Willinet TV Channel 17 at 9 a.m. and at 7 p.m. on both days.
