Relay for Life Meeting Set in Pittsfield - February 12, 2008
American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Berkshire County Team Captain's Kick Off meeting has been POSTPONED....due to the pending storm. We have rescheduled the Kick Off for Tuesday, February 19, 2008 at the ITAM at 6pm.
The committee members of The American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Berkshire County Central/South announce the official kick off to this years fund raising efforts. The Kick off meeting will take place Tuesday, February 12, 2008 from 6:00-8:00pm at the Itam Lodge in Pittsfield. All are welcome to attend including team captains, team members, participants, volunteers and survivors to officially begin the 20 weeks of fundraising leading up to the 24 hour team walk – The Relay For Life. This year's event is being held Friday & Saturday June 20th and 21st at Burbank Park, Onota Lake.
New This Year! Wigs for Kids! This year The American Cancer Society has partnered with Wigs for Kids. C. Carlo Hair Express in Pittsfield has offered to donate their time at Relay for free haircuts for anyone who is willing to donate. Hair cutting will take place Saturday June 21 from 10:00am until 2:00pm. Participants are asked to generously donate 12 inches but any length above 8 inches will be gladly accepted!
The current committee welcomes and encourages enthusiastic people to attend kickoff, join a team or even start one of their own and attend the 2008 Relay. In 2007, The Relay For Life of Berkshire County Central/South ranked 15th of 199 Relay events in New England! We can make a difference right here in our own county!
