North Adams Regional Hospital went smoke-free Monday — so did all its sister sites, from Sweet Brook to Northern Berkshire Family Practice to the Women's Exchange. No ashtrays, no smoking: No butts about it. |
Yuck!
Today's blue skies will give way to clouds and snow tonight. But be prepared for tomorrow morning, when the white stuff will get messy as freezing rain and sleet move through the region. The morning commute will be slippery — drive careful! |

Critelli, Berardo to Perform at Railway Cafe - December 10, 2007
NORTH ADAMS - Frank Critelli and Marc Douglas Berardo will perform at the next Railway Cafe concert on Friday, Dec. 14, at 7:30 p.m. at MCLA Gallery 51.
Frank Critelli, of Connecticut, is back by popular demand, after opening for Jeffrey Foucault at another Railway Cafe performance in March 2006. Rhode Islander Marc Douglas Berardo makes up the other half of the evening's entertainment.
"Marc's sharply drawn portraits cast a net on unusual and interesting characters and places," said Laini Sporbert, Railway Cafe organizer. "With a painter's eye for detail, and music firmly rooted in the great American sound, he sings about towns full of circus retirees, expatriates in Florida rum bars, union iron workers, aimless New York City debutantes, near-death car crashes and the changes that experience brings to everyone."
Tickets are $10 in advance, $12 at the door, $8 for students and seniors. To reserve your spot, call 413 664-6393 or e-mail railwaycafe@juno.com . To listen to clips, hear Critelli at www.myspace.com/frankcritelli and Douglas at www.marcdouglas.com . MCLA Gallery 51 is at 51 Main St., North Adams. The Railway Cafe shows for 2008 will be on Jan. 11, Feb. 8, March 14, April 25 and May 25. For more information, go to www.mcla.edu/gallery51 |
