VNA & Hospice of Northern Berkshire offers free public health clinics in December - November 30, 2007
The Visiting Nurse Association & Hospice of Northern Berkshire, an affiliate of Northern Berkshire Healthcare, will offer several public health clinics in the region through December. The clinics include blood pressure and blood sugar screening, medication reviews, and health teaching.
Public health clinics are offered every Tuesday and Thursday at the VNA & Hospice, 535 Curran Highway in North Adams, from 3-4 p.m. Clinics are also held every Tuesday at Stop & Shop in North Adams from 10-11:30 a.m.
In December, clinics will be held in Adams at Barrett House on Wednesday, Dec. 5 from 10-11 a.m.; Valley Street Apartments, Wednesday, Dec. 12, 10-11 a.m.; Millhouse Apartments, Wednesday, Dec. 19, 10-11 a.m.; and at the Adams Council on Aging, Thursday, Dec. 27, 10-11 a.m.
In Cheshire: Cheshire Senior Center, Wednesday, Dec. 26, 1 – 2 p.m.
In North Adams: Village East, Tuesday, Dec. 11, 10:30-11:30 a.m.; Holy Family Terrace, Wednesday, Dec. 12, 11 a.m. - noon; 150 Ashland Street, Tuesday, Dec. 18, 9-11 a.m.; and St. Joseph’s Court, Thursday, Dec. 27, 9:30-10:30 a.m.
In Williamstown: The Spruces, Wednesday, Dec. 12, 9:30-10:30 a.m.; and the Harper Center, Monday, Dec. 17, 1-2:30 p.m.
Other community events offered at the VNA & Hospice include:
* Tuesday, Dec. 4: Hospice Volunteer Training, 6-9 p.m.
* Wednesdays in December: Childbirth education classes, 6:30-8:30 p.m. Call the Birthing Center at NARH at 413-664-5127 for information and to register.
* Tuesday, Dec. 11: Alzheimer’s Support Group, 7-8:30 p.m.
