North Adams Regional Hospital went smoke-free Monday — so did all its sister sites, from Sweet Brook to Northern Berkshire Family Practice to the Women's Exchange. No ashtrays, no smoking: No butts about it. |
Yuck!
Today's blue skies will give way to clouds and snow tonight. But be prepared for tomorrow morning, when the white stuff will get messy as freezing rain and sleet move through the region. The morning commute will be slippery — drive careful! |

Williams Choir Sets Concert - November 14, 2007
WILLIAMSTOWN - The Williams Chamber Choir will give a concert on Friday, Nov. 16, at 8 p.m. in Thompson Memorial Chapel on the Williams College campus. This free event is open to the public.
The choir will perform a series of a cappella choral settings exploring the role of music in life's final journey. In these works, music is presented as a balm, a vehicle for the spirit, the soul's home. The program includes Benjamin Britten's "Hymn to Saint Cecilia," Gustav Mahler/Gottwold's Ich bin der Welt abhanden gekommen, Galina Grigorjeva's "On Leaving" and Alfred
Schnittke's "Complete this work" from Choir Concerto.
Williams College has a long tradition of music performance in its choral ensembles. Director Brad Wells, who entered his seventh year with the college this fall, has helped that tradition flourish. The choral program has much to offer students interested in singing, with a number of performances throughout the year, a wide range of repertoire, recordings and tours. The Chamber Choir is directed by Wells and is composed entirely of students.
A map of the campus can be found on the web at www.williams.edu/home/campusmap/
